Snakes In Suits and In Power

Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many gods as you please, observe ceremonies and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred eons, without realizing the Oneness.
Sankara
As bombs drop, situations escalate, conflicts continue and suffering goes unchecked, there is something deeper missing in all the bluster and self-righteous rage.
Is peace the end goal? Is it really desired, truly wanted, by governments and corporations? We must consider this is not their agenda at all. Power and control seems to be the true goal.

I’m reading an interesting book – “Snakes In Suits: When Psychopaths Go To Work” by Dr. Robert Hare and Paul Babiack. Considering recent professional situations I’ve been in lately – the film industry, the music industry, hip-hop, New York – the book really speaks to a lot of people I run into looking to scam and run. It’s almost an accpeted norm – that you will get screwed by the unscrupulous and ridiculous, because this society celebrates the frat boy mentality of winning, pranking and bullying.
I recommend this book, especially for women, and those particularly in the entertainment industry. “Snakes In Suits” is an excellent primer on how to spot and deal with a psychopath, and the differences between psychopaths, sociopaths and those with borderline personality disorders.
Good article about the book:
