Bringing forth light…
I was browsing the Iota Center’s website today and came upon this quote:
Light is the artist’s sole medium of expression. He must mold it by optical means, almost as a sculptor models clay. He must add colour, and finally motion to his creation. Motion, the time dimension, demands that he must be a choreographer in space.

This speaks to my soul as a VJ and filmmaker. But more the live performance aspect – the tension to create by molding pixels and light, over time, and move fluidly with it, in relation to live music or a DJ, or a dancer, or lighting, or all and any of those things. Its the dance of holding and releasing light in patterns from my mind, through technology, to a large space. It does at times seem I am almost astral projecting my visual response to the moment.
Now imagine if this medium were to grow, and a multitude of voices and visions could be shared easier and exponentially.
I believe that’s a world I’d love to see.
