I have never liked sarcasm or rampant teasing. It usually speaks to a deeper anger or wound. Its a fairly passive aggressive way of insulting or demeaning someone. That its suggested one should be an “adult” and take it all in good stride is ridiculous. Disrespect is still disrespect.

Spent much of today laughing. A really wonderful change for once. Mountains of worry moved out of my view, as i seemed to turn toward a bright thin slice of light that became day. It was all suddenly looser, easier. I heard people bitching about the weather and finally i told one person that Americans complain way too much, be thankful its not raining, dammit. To me, it was a wonderful day - the sun was shining, dollops of single fat clouds moving across the wide blue sky. The wind wasn’t as bitter as the grumble from bent, grimacing crowds.

the texture of sunday
there are passages of time when relaxation has a texture to it - a deep, soft, continuous pelt. awareness of this engrossing fur padding each nerve, and the quiet emptiness between, becomes total comfort. muscles in knees and between vertabrae melt, the scalp settles and toes are loose. these points on the body were never apparent before and now sing with release. a low hum drums along the skin, settles into the hollow of the stomach and drifts between bones lightly. wings almost emerge from shoulder blades, light seems to burst from the solar plexis, the throat is open and breathing is very deep.
still in my PJs, hair a dizzy mess, wickedly smug smile, spread as wide as my cheeks can go, fuzzy pink socked feet up.

i am learning to sit with peace and excitement in my body at the same time. strange sensation - learning to trust that excitement won’t overwhelm and frustrate me, and peace won’t disconnect me from the ebb and flow of life.
much like a flower - bursting with exciting color, yet still and at peace. vibrating with life…
